U.S. President George Bush talked Saturday about the agenda for next month's international economic summit at the White House.
President Bush devoted his weekly radio address to previewing his meeting with other leaders of the so-called Group of 20 nations on the global economic crisis.
"During the summit we will discuss the causes of the problems in our financial systems, review the progress being made to address the current crisis, and begin developing principles of reform for regulatory bodies in institutions related to our financial sectors," he said.
Earlier in the week, Mr. Bush invited leaders of wealthy nations and the heads of major developing economies to the White House on November 15, to focus on the global financial crisis. Administration officials see the summit as the first in a series of meetings on the global economy. The president said Saturday the meeting will give world leaders a chance to sit in one room and discuss the situation.
"While the specific solutions pursued by every country may not be the same, agreeing on a common set of principles will be an essential step towards preventing similar crises in the future," he said.
The summit will include the leading industrialized nations, plus emerging economies such as Brazil, India, China and South Africa. Mr. Bush said he will push hard for the principles of free trade.
"Open market policies have lifted standards of living and helped millions of people around the world escape the grip of poverty," he said. "These policies have shown themselves time and time again to be the surest path to creating jobs, increasing commerce and fostering progress. And this moment of global economic uncertainty would be precisely the wrong time to reject such proven methods for creating prosperity and hope."
White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said earlier in the week both presidential candidates, John McCain and Barack Obama, have been informed about plans for the initial summit. She said there was no decision on whether the winner of the November 4 election will attend.

I remember quite clearly now when the story happened.
The autumn leaves were floating in measure down to the ground, recovering the lake, where we used to swim like children, under the sun was there to shine. That time we used to be happy. Well, I thought we were.
But the truth was that you had been longing to leave me, not daring to tell me. On that precious night, watching the lake, vaguely conscious, you said: Our love story is ending.
The rain was killing the last days of summer; you had been killing my last breath of love since a long time ago. I still don't think I'm gonna make it through another love story. You took it all away from me.
And there I stand, I knew I was going to be the one left behind. But still I'm watching the lake, vaguely conscious, and I know my life is ending.

Welcome to the most easily misunderstood season of all, winter, a beautiful season of intimacy and reflection. I’m Faith at Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax.
Winter gives us the opportunity to stay inside and look outside, as we're not called outdoors to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. Snuggle up in the sofa, put a blanket over you, have a cup of hot cocoa, and enjoy the observations on this precious season…
Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: It is the time for home.
During the winter I am content,or try to think I am. There is a wonderful joy in leaving behind the noisy city streets and starting out along the white road that leads across the hills. With each breath of the sharp, reviving air one seems to inhale new life. A peace as evident as the sunshine on the fields takes possession of one's inner being. The trivial cares are driven away by the first sweep of wind that comes straight from the mountains. The intense silence that broods over the snow-bound land is a conscious blessing from the nature.
Sometimes our fate resembles a fruit tree in winter: Who would think that those branches would turn green again and blossom, but we hope it, we know it.

Welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax on Valentine’s Day, I’m Faith. Today, let’s talk about teenage love-our first love. Some people think of Teen Love and smile. It's not reallove, they say. Puppy Love, they call it. Those people, I think, have very short memories, and no longer recall the realities of their first love experiences. While few expect teen love to last a lifetime that hardly makes it less real. Half or more of all adult love doesn't last a lifetime either.
Teen love is very real, and powerful. Perhaps at no other time in our lives are the joys and pains felt as strongly, or experienced more deeply. Who among us, after all, can ever forget our first love?
Just One Song
That night the stars were out.
That night I fell in love.
I fell in love with you.
All it took was just one song.
You might not have known it,
But yes it is true.
It was just one song
That made me love you.
We danced to that song,
It was so sweet.
It felt like it was
Just you and me.
Everyone went away.
Nothing really mattered.
You held me so close.
It was "Always and Forever".
I remember the song.
I play it everyday.
Just hoping one day,
We can be together.
And all it took was
Just one Song

Hi, welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to relax. I’m Faith.
One of my students asked me awhile ago what I was really good at. Half kidding, I responded, "Starting over!"
The reason I was only HALF kidding is because I am very familiar with starting over. I've started over in business. I've started over financially and in my career.
And unless you live a spectacularly blissful life, at some point--usually many points--in your life, you'll need to start over, too.
We all do--in big things and in small.
A project gets delayed or terminated. We get laid off, downsized, right-sized or repurposed. We go off our diet or our exercise program. Hurricanes, tornadoes, cancer, the flu--all sorts of catastrophes and inconveniences can thwart or stop our forward progress--sometimes sending us all the way back to the starting line.
But you can't let it stop you. To be successful you must become and remain resilient.
Hardly anything goes the way we hope or plan that it will. I'm being realistic. Setbacks, roadblocks and disappointments are just part of the natural ebb and flow of life.
Every day is a new day. And it's a good thing because it's another opportunity to start over again every day. It matters little what's happened. But it matters a LOT what we do not

14 Write Your Own Life 谱写生命的乐章
Suppose someone gave you a pen - a sealed, solid-colored pen.
You couldn't see how much ink it had. It might run dry after the first few tentative words or last just long enough to create a masterpiece (or several) that would last forever and make a difference in the scheme of things. You don't know before you begin.
Under the rules of the game, you really never know. You have to take a chance! Actually, no rule of the game states you must do anything. Instead of picking up and using the pen, you could leave it on a shelf or in a drawer where it will dry up, unused.
But if you do decide to use it, what would you do with it? How would you play the game?
Would you plan and plan before you ever wrote a word? Would your plans be so extensive that you never even got to the writing?
Or would you take the pen in hand, plunge right in and just doit, struggling to keep up with the twists and turns of the torrents of words that take you where they take you?
Would you write cautiously and carefully, as if the pen might run dry the next moment, or would you pretend or believe (or pretend to believe) that the pen will write forever and proceed accordingly?

13 Dream-A Passion within You 梦想-你心中永远的激情
Hi, welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I'm Faith. It's December, so the most of the year is now behind us. But there's a new year coming up, which will give us time to live, to love, to give, and to make our dreams come true.
What kinds of dreams will you turn to reality in your life?
Everyone - every person in this world has a Dream: a passion, a vision in their life that pulls them and urges them to move forward in life. You, my friend have this vision within you, it "whispers" to you occasionally, but in some cases it cries out. It cries out to be listened to and acted upon because this vision comes from your soul.
Within this "Inner Vision" there lies the magic of living your life with passion, fulfillment and purpose. This means being true to who you really are - and living your life on purpose with all the passion and energy you are capable of living.
When you live from your inner passions - you'll never have to seek approval from others - you'll "chart your own course" and be the master of your own destiny. More importantly, you'll feel whole, connected and inspired.
You're listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I'm Faith. Find your inner fire, your sense of purpose; this fire will help you harness strengths you're not even aware you have. Be connected with your inner passions - your Life's Dreams, and live that passion daily.

6.2 Wake up your life唤醒你的生活
Years ago, when I started looking for my first job, wise advisers urged,
“Barbara, be enthusiastic! Enthusiasm will take you further than any amount of experience.” How right they were.
Enthusiastic people can turn a boring drive into an adventure, extra work into opportunity and strangers into friends.
“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” Wrote Ralph Waldo Emerson.
It is the paste that helps you hang in there when the going gets tough.
It is the inner voice that whispers, “I can do it!” when others shout, “No, you can’t.”
It took years and years for the early work of Barbara McClintock, a geneticist who won the 1983 Nobel Prize in medicine, to be generally accepted. Yet she didn’t let up on her experiments.
Work was such a deep pleasure for her that she never thought of stopping.
We are all born with wide-eyes, enthusiastic wonder
as anyone knows who has ever seen an infant’s delight at the jingle of keys or the scurrying of a beetle.—每一个看到过婴儿听到钥匙声或看见乱爬的甲虫就兴奋不已的人都会明白这一点.
It is this childlike wonder that gives enthusiastic people such a youthful air, whatever their age.
At 90, cellist Pablo Casals would start his day by playing Bach.
As the music flowed through his fingers, his stooped shoulders would straighten and joy would reappear in his eyes.
Music, for Casals, was an elixir that made life a never ending adventure.
As author and poet Samuel Ullman once wrote, “Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.”
How do you rediscover the enthusiasm of your childhood? The answer, I believe, lies in the word itself.
“Enthusiasm” comes from the Greek and means “God within.”
And what is God within is but an abiding sense of love—proper love of self and, from that, love of others.
Enthusiastic people also love what they do, regardless of money or title or power.
If we cannot do what we love as a full-time career, we can as a part-time avocation,
like the head of state who paints, the nun who runs marathons, the executive who handcrafts furniture.
Elizabeth Layton of Wellsville, Ka, was 68 before she began to draw.
This activity ended bouts of depression that had plagued her for at least 30 years,
and the quality of her work led one critic to say, “I am tempted to call Layton a genius.”
Elizabeth has rediscovered her enthusiasm.
We can’t afford to waste tears on “might-have-beens.”
We need to turn the tears into sweat as we go after “what-can-be.”
We need to live each moment wholeheartedly, with all our senses—
finding pleasure in the fragrance of a back-yard garden, the crayoned picture of a six-year-old, the enchanting beauty of a rainbow.
It is such enthusiastic love of like that puts a sparkle in our eyes, a lilt in our steps and smooths the wrinkles from our souls.

5.6 You are What You D
If the past has taught us anything, it is that every cause brings effect—every action has a consequence.
This thought, in my opinion, is the moral foundation of the universe; it applies equally in this world and the next.
We Chinese have a saying: “If a man plants melons, he will reap melons; if he sows beans, he will reap beans.”
And this is true of every man’s life: good begets good, and evil leads to evil.
True enough, the sun shines on the saint and sinner alike, and too often it seems that the wicked wax and prosper.
But we can say with certitude that, with the individual as with the nation, the flourishing of the wicked is an illusion,
for, unceasingly, life keeps books on us all.
In the end, we are all the sum total of our actions.
Character cannot be counterfeited, nor can it be put on and cast off as it were a garment to meet the whim of the moment.
Like the markings on wood which are ingrained in the very heart of the tree, character requires time and nurture for growth and development.
Thus also, day by day, we write our own destiny.
For inexorably we become what we do.
This, I believe, is the supreme logic and the law of life.
